Two more proclaimed offenders (POs) were killed during an encounter between Crime Control Department (CCD) of police and Shah Gang in Lahore.
An operation is underway here against Shah Gang, that considered a symbol of terror.
According to police official sources, CCD Model Town raided Nishtar Colony on information about the presence of proclaimed offenders. Seeing the team, the proclaimed offenders opened indiscriminate firing on the police party, which continued for half an hour. The injured accused died while being shifted to the hospital. Some other accomplices of the accused fled the scene during the firing. The sources said their pursuit is ongoing.
According to sources, the killed proclaimed offenders Rahmad Shah and Nalain Shah belonged to Shah Gang of Faisalabad. The accused were proclaimed offenders wanted by the police in murder, robbery, extortion and other cases.
It is worth mentioning here that so far, seven dangerous proclaimed offenders of Shah Gang have been killed in police encounters in the last three days.
Meanwhile CCD is conducting an operation against the absconding proclaimed offenders across Punjab.
