AIOU cracks down on fake educational service providers

Regional Director of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Regional Center Sukkur, Mohsin Khan has warned the public against unauthorized institutions and individuals providing services in the name of the University. In a statement issued on Saturday, he said that the University had established SWIFT centers on a trial basis for a short period, but they were closed in July 2024 due to technical reasons. However, some institutions and individuals are still claiming to provide services under the university’s name. The University clarifies that it has no affiliation with these centers and warns that individuals and institutions providing or availing these services will be held responsible, he said and added, the University reserves the right to take legal action against those involved in unauthorized activities. Students and candidates have been advised to contact the main campus or regional offices of the University for guidance and support. Information about regional offices is available on the University’s website, he said.
