Kim Kardashian confirms her friend Lindsay may have died after cancer battle

Kim Kardashian has lost a dear friend. Lindsay May-an entertainment consultant who the Kardashians star has known since childhood-died after a battle with cancer, Kim confirmed on her Instagram Story June 17.

She also shared that their mutual friend Simone Harouche started a fundraiser selling Citizens of Humanity jeans called “The Linz” to raise money for research on the disease.

“In memory of our Lifer Lindz who recently passed away of a rare form of cancer,” Kim wrote, “our lifer @simoneharouche has partnered with @citizensofhumanity to donate $50 from every pair to the neuroendocrine tumor research foundation.”

Simone previously mourned Lindsay’s death with a social media tribute, writing on Instagram in January alongside photos of Lindsay through the years, “My world stopped on Nov 2nd. you took a little of me with you, but thank God I took some of you.”

“A beautiful sunset took on a whole new meaning,” she continued. “Reminisced a lot and the 90s were f–king fun. went on some beautiful adventures. had a lot of family time. I said yes to more. I experienced what it means when people talk about the power of community

Simone added, “Felt like I was in a daze a lot of the time, but also felt grateful for every second of this life. you are always with me. I feel you all the time.” Kim commented at the time, “I felt this so deep.” The touching tribute also resonated with Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian, who commented, “This made me cry. I love you.”

Lindsay was a part of a close group of friends Kim dubbed “lifers.” The ensemble-which also includes Blended Strategy Group CEO Allison Statter, Roe Caviar founder Sarah Meyer Michaelson, yoga teacher Ashley Kassan and Henry Winkler’s daughter Zoe Winkler-has been featured on the 44-year-old’s reality show numerous times.

“I’m so busy and I have so much on my plate, but I have to take a breather and just have dinner with my lifers,” Kim shared in an episode of The Kardashians last year. “Because we love getting together and telling each other big news.”

Explaining how she’s known the group of women before she became famous, the SKIMS founder noted at the time, “It’s so comforting to have the same friends that I did and just to see where we’re at, but that none of us have changed. We all are literally family.”

E! News reached out to Kim’s rep for additional comment but didn’t hear back.
