Sajal Aly and Ameer Gilani spark buzz with new drama ‘Zanjeerain’

(Web Desk) – Popular actors Sajal Aly and Ameer Gilani are teaming up for a new drama titled Zanjeerain, written by renowned writer Farhat Ishtiaq. Filming is underway in Islamabad, and the project is already drawing significant attention online.

The excitement grew even more after a behind-the-scenes video showed Sajal Aly in a striking red bridal outfit, which quickly went viral among fans. Many viewers are eager to see her return to the screen, as she continues her strong run of successful projects.

However, the casting has also sparked mixed reactions from the audience. While many fans are thrilled to see Sajal’s name attached to another big project, some have raised doubts about Ameer Gilani’s ability to match her star presence. One social media user questioned his appeal, saying, “From which angle does Ameer look like a hero?”

Others criticized the casting choice, pointing out that Ameer’s recent projects have not done well. “Ameer has given back-to-back flops, yet he’s being cast with Sajal in a Farhat Ishtiaq script,” commented another fan. This stirred debate about the industry’s casting patterns.

On the other hand, some viewers defended Ameer Gilani, highlighting his acting skills and criticizing the industry’s preference for certain actors. A fan wrote, “It seems that the precondition for getting a good script is either being a nepo kid or a favourite; otherwise, you must have a record of flops.”

Amid the discussion, many fans also expressed their hope that Sajal would take on more diverse roles and explore different looks in future projects. Overall, Zanjeerain has already generated a mix of excitement and debate, making it one of the most anticipated dramas of the year.
