Ex-minister calls for setting up global peace arbitration parliament

In light of the recent ceasefire between Iran and Israel, Former Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad has called for the formation of a Neutral Global Peace Arbitration Parliament, stressing the urgent need for a neutral and credible platform to resolve international conflicts through peaceful means.

Ibrahim Murad emphasized that the proposed arbitration body should consist of at least 40 impartial and influential global figures, who are free from any geographical, religious or political affiliations. These individuals must be empowered to offer transparent, fair and sustainable solutions to global disputes, he said.

Highlighting the importance of diplomacy over aggression, Murad stated, “The world today does not need war-it needs wisdom, patience and purposeful dialogue therefore we must declare 2026 as the year of peace for the world.”

Calling the recent Iran-Israel ceasefire a critical turning point, Former Minister urged the international community to act wisely and prevent further escalation. He said that Iran’s response has reminded the world that unchecked aggression will always have consequences, therefore only justice-based resolutions can secure lasting peace.

Murad concluded by appealing to world leaders and nations to abandon the path of war and instead embrace peace, tolerance and mutual respect, to ensure a safer and more prosperous future for all humanity.
