Tragedy in Rawalpindi: Three children die after drinking contaminated milk

A tragic incident unfolded in Rawalpindi’s Bani area where three young children lost their lives after allegedly consuming poisonous milk. Their mother is currently in critical condition and undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

According to Dawn News, the family drank the milk early in the morning, after which the children started showing severe symptoms of poisoning. Despite being rushed to Holy Family Hospital, the children, aged between eight months and four years, could not survive. Their sudden deaths have left the entire neighborhood in shock and sorrow.

Police launched an immediate investigation into the matter and stated that the initial evidence suggests a poisonous insect may have accidentally fallen into the milk. However, the authorities are waiting for a detailed forensic report to confirm the exact cause of death and rule out any criminal negligence.

The children’s bodies were handed over to the family after legal formalities, while the mother continues to fight for her life in the hospital’s intensive care unit. The tragedy has raised questions about food hygiene and the safety of household consumables in densely populated urban areas.

Residents of the area have expressed deep concern and grief over the heartbreaking loss. Many are demanding the government and health departments to raise awareness about food safety and to ensure quick medical response systems in such emergencies.

Police officials have sealed the house for further inspection and collected milk samples for laboratory testing. They assured that a thorough investigation is underway and anyone found responsible will be held accountable. The case serves as a painful reminder of the importance of basic health precautions and food safety in homes.
