Pakistan railways set for major improvements, says federal minister

Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi said Pakistan Railways will soon announce good news. He spoke at a press conference in Islamabad. The minister said the Prime Minister has asked to focus more on improving railways. He added that the railway’s progress is linked to the country’s development. Therefore, the government is working hard to make big changes.

Since March, Hanif Abbasi has worked on making trains more punctual. He said train arrival and departure rates rose from 45% to 85%. This shows progress in managing the railway system better. Moreover, he said the quality of food at stations has improved. The government also installed new information desks for passenger convenience.

The minister introduced the Train Host Pilot Project on the Green Line Train. For the first time, they added escalators at Lahore Railway Station. These new steps help passengers move easily inside the station. Abbasi said these changes show the government’s focus on modernizing railways. He believes such improvements will encourage more people to use trains.

Abbasi also talked about the importance of strong railway links for regional connections. He wants all railway tracks to be upgraded to the same level. Furthermore, billions of rupees worth of railway land were recovered. This land will help fund more railway projects in the future. The minister believes this is a step toward a better railway system.

In conclusion, Hanif Abbasi promised big changes soon. The government is determined to improve Pakistan Railways quickly. They aim to make rail travel safer, faster, and more comfortable. People should expect exciting news about railways very soon. This will support Pakistan’s overall growth and connectivity.
