KARACHI – Veteran actress Bushra Ansari has strongly defended late actress Ayesha Khan’s children, rejecting social media accusations that they neglected their mother in her final days.
In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, Bushra expressed sorrow over Ayesha’s mysterious death and addressed the growing speculation online. Ayesha Khan was found dead in her Karachi home on June 20, with police later revealing that the body was at least a week old.
Following the discovery, many online users accused Ayesha’s children of abandoning her. However, Bushra called these allegations unfair, adding that the children must be grieving and should not be blamed without knowing the full story.
She revealed that Ayesha had once told her she chose not to live abroad with her children, even though they regularly invited her. According to Bushra, Ayesha had five or six children living in different countries who took good care of her, including sending her money and providing everything she needed.
Bushra further shared that Ayesha felt happiest in her own home, surrounded by friends and familiar surroundings. She had a maid to help her with meals and daily chores and often spoke fondly of her life in Karachi.
Although she admitted the children might have been careless for not checking in for a few days, Bushra urged people to stop spreading harsh accusations. However, some social media users disagreed, questioning how both the children and close friends failed to notice Ayesha’s absence for so long.
