The city experienced cloudy weather accompanied by light rain on Monday, with the MET Office forecasting similar conditions over the next 24 hours.
Scattered showers were reported in various areas of Lahore, prompting WASA to remain on high alert to manage potential drainage and flooding concerns.
Meteorological officials noted that moist currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal were entering the upper regions of the country, while a westerly wave was also influencing weather patterns in the same areas.
They predicted that hot and very humid conditions would continue across most parts of the country. However, rain, wind, and thundershowers were expected in Kashmir, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and northeastern Punjab.
Rainfall was also recorded in several other cities, including Noor Pur Thal, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Jhang. The highest temperature on Monday was recorded in Sibbi at 46°C, while Lahore saw a maximum of 40°C.
