Sindh imposes ban on production, sale, use of plastic bags

The Government of Sindh has officially imposed a ban on the manufacturing, sale and use of plastic bags throughout the province in a move to combat environmental pollution. According to a handout issued on Monday, a notification issued in this regard has informed the public to cooperate with the provincial government and avoid using plastic bags. The notification highlighted that plastic bags not only affect the drainage system but also increase the spread of environmental pollution. Authorities have encouraged citizens to use cloth or paper bags to protect the environment.
