BTS star Suga has made a powerful comeback to public life by donating ₩5 billion (around $3.6 million) to establish a treatment centre for children with autism. The donation went to Yonsei Severance Hospital, where the new facility will be called the Min Yoon Gi Treatment Center.
Announced on June 23, 2025, the centre will offer specialised services for children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. It will focus on language therapy, psychological support, and behavioural treatment, combining clinical care with research-driven approaches.
Suga began planning this initiative in late 2024 after meeting Professor Chun Geun Ah, head of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Their collaboration led to the creation of the MIND programme—short for Music, Interaction, Network, and Diversity—aimed at improving social skills and promoting inclusion through music-based therapy.
Moreover, the centre will work to remove stigma surrounding neurodiversity and build long-term pathways for autistic children to live independently and confidently. It also plans to engage the broader community to raise awareness and understanding.
The announcement comes just days after Suga officially completed his mandatory military service on June 21. As the final BTS member to be discharged, fans now eagerly await the group’s full reunion.
With this heartfelt donation, Suga has once again shown that his influence goes beyond music—using his platform to bring real, lasting change to communities in need.
