Pak volleyball team qualifies for AVC Nations Cup semis

The Pakistan National Senior Men’s Volleyball Team has qualified for the semifinals of the AVC Nations Cup 2025 at Bahrain. Pakistan team continued its impressive run at the Nations Cup by defeating Indonesia in the quarterfinals. Pakistan triumphed with a solid 3-1 set win, securing a place in the semifinals of the tournament. The match began with a strong start from Indonesia, who claimed the first set 25-20, putting early pressure on Pakistan. However, the Green Shirts quickly adjusted their strategy and bounced back with dominance, taking the next three sets with scores of 25-21, 25-20, and 25-17. The team’s resilience, discipline, and tactical execution were evident throughout the match. Pakistan will face the winner of the quarterfinal match between Qatar and Vietnam. The outcome of that match will determine Pakistan’s opponent in the semifinal. In a statement issued here, Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) Chairman Ch Muqammad Yaqoob praised the team’s determination saying, “Today’s performance was a true testament to our players’ fighting spirit and unity. Overcoming a strong team like Indonesia shows our readiness to compete at the highest level. We’re proud of the boys and look forward to the semifinal with confidence.
