Lizzo feels good as hell without weight loss medication. The “Truth Hurts” singer admitted that she tried Ozempic and other GLP-1 drugs-a class of drugs primarily used to manage type 2 diabetes and obesity-before deciding that the method wasn’t the most effective way for her to achieve her weight loss goals. “I tried everything,” Lizzo told host Trisha Paytasduring a June 19 episode of the Just Trish podcast before explaining why she wound up ditching GLP-1 medications early on in her journey. “Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. Lizzo urged critics to stop looking at their choice as “cheating.
