Gold prices in Pakistan saw another drop on Thursday, following the downward trend in the international market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola declined by Rs460, bringing it down to Rs358,595.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also decreased. It dropped by Rs394, reaching Rs307,437 in the local market. These changes reflect ongoing pressure from the global market where gold rates have been softening recently.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, gold prices had already fallen sharply. The price per tola dropped by Rs2,245, showing a continuous cooling in demand or market corrections. Experts say international market signals are influencing local rates significantly.
Globally, the international gold rate was recorded at $3,372 per ounce, including a $20 premium, marking a $6 decline. This global dip is directly affecting gold rates in Pakistan as well.
Meanwhile, the price of silver in Pakistan also saw a drop. The rate fell by Rs58 per tola, bringing it down to Rs3,820. Market analysts are watching closely to see if the trend continues in the coming days.
