Daylong training session on volunteerism, civil responsibility held

Under the auspices of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, a significant and impactful one-day training session titled “Youth in Action: A One-Day Bootcamp on Volunteerism, Emergency Safety, and Civic Responsibility” was organized at ILMA University on 18th June 2025. The session began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem of Pakistan, which filled the participants with renewed enthusiasm and patriotism.

On this occasion, Assistant Director Youth Affairs Mr. Moiz Hussain delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the department’s commitment to youth empowerment, the promotion of volunteerism, and the vital role of youth in national development. Assistant Director Youth Affairs Mr. Rizwan Ali Mallah was also present and shared his encouraging words with the youth.

Mr. Akbar Ali Dars gave a comprehensive and insightful presentation on volunteerism, teamwork, and leadership skills, while Mr. Afreen Khan emphasized the significance of volunteerism and its positive impact on society. Director Rescue 1122 Ambulance Service Mr. Lutaf Ali Mangrio, along with his team, provided valuable information regarding emergencies, natural disasters, and climate-related challenges.

From ILMA University, Dr. Zahid Ali, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology, and Dr. Yasmeen Sultana Farooqi, Dean Faculty of Media and Design, also participated in the session and urged the youth to actively contribute in volunteerism and social service.

The session concluded with remarks from Deputy Director Youth Affairs Mr. Syed Habibullah Shah. He said that it was vision of Honorable Minster Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar & Commitment of Respectable Secretary Sahb to provide such platforms of learning to Youth. At the end of the ceremony, souvenirs were presented to the esteemed guests, trainers, and ILMA University faculty, while certificates were awarded to the students. The session delivered a powerful message encouraging youth towards national service, volunteerism, and civic responsibility.
