Kundi stresses trade, education collaboration with Russia, Kyrgyzstan

Ambassador of Russian Education and Science in Pakistan and President of the Kyrgyzstan Trade House, Dr. Shahid Hassan, along with Engineer Iftikhar Ali, called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi here at Governor House on Wednesday.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on promoting higher education, scientific cooperation, and strengthening trade relations in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Dr. Shahid highlighted educational opportunities for Pakistani students in Russian and Kyrgyz universities, including scholarships and research programs.

Governor Kundi emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with international educational institutions to open new avenues for the province’s universities and students.

He particularly stressed the need to provide focused attention to the youth of the merged districts, stating that preventing the spread of despair in those areas is crucial.

The Governor appreciated the role of the Russian Ambassador and embassy for their continued efforts in fostering strong relations with Pakistan, including humanitarian assistance sent to Kurram district affectees.

He said that Russia and neighboring states offer significant potential for enhancing business and trade.

Welcoming the proposal to boost bilateral trade and investment through the Kyrgyzstan Trade House, Governor Kundi assured full support and cooperation from the Governor House in such initiatives.

Meanwhile, Central Secretary General of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former Chairman Senate, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Usman Khan Tarakai, Biland Khan Tarakai, Salim Khan Chitrali met separately with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.
