Jacobabad — A powerful explosion targeted the Jaffar Express train near Jail Road in Jacobabad, located on the Sindh-Balochistan border. The blast caused five bogies of the train to derail, officials said.
The train was traveling from Peshawar to Quetta when the bomb exploded near the railway tracks. The explosion also damaged the railway line, disrupting train services in the area.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported from this incident. Security forces quickly surrounded the site and launched a rescue operation to secure the area and assess the damage.
This attack is part of a disturbing trend where railway lines across the country are being targeted by militants, raising concerns over the safety of train passengers and infrastructure.
Earlier on June 16, a similar bombing occurred between Machh and Ab Gam in Balochistan, injuring a railway worker and causing serious damage to the tracks.
Authorities continue to investigate the recent explosion, promising to enhance security measures to protect the railway network and prevent such attacks in the future.
