Lance Khan, a rising star in Pakistani baseball, tragically passed away at 21 following a car accident in Houston. Khan, who made his mark representing Pakistan in the 2023 Lincoln Cup, was seen as one of the most exciting prospects in the country’s baseball scene.
A product of Lamar Little League, he later played collegiate baseball at the University of St. Thomas (UST) in Houston, where his talent and positive attitude quickly made him a standout player. The official UST Baseball social media account paid tribute to the young athlete, writing, “You will be with us forever, 4. Your infectious attitude and love for your teammates is something that can’t be taught. Your voice will echo in the dugout for eternity. We love you, Lance. Rest easy.”
Fakhar Shah, President of the Pakistan Baseball Federation, shared his grief, stating, “He was one of the brightest talents we had. His appearances on the international stage brought new energy and optimism to the sport in Pakistan.” Khan’s journey was one of resilience. After overcoming a recent battle with cancer, he returned to the field with renewed passion, inspiring those around him with his determination.
