Three young men from North Karachi drowned while bathing in the sea near Hawkes Bay Sandspit due to high waves on Sunday.
According to a private news channel, the incident occurred near Hut No. S-67 in the Maripur area.
Lifeguards and Edhi Marine Services launched an immediate rescue operation, recovering one youth in an unconscious state and another who had drowned.
Both were shifted to Civil Hospital, where the condition of the unconscious youth is reported to be critical.
Maripur SHO Sardar Abbasi identified the deceased as Ali Hassan and Jamil Naveed, while the critically injured youth is Farhan Shah.
Rescue efforts are ongoing to locate the third missing youth.
