In a landmark move to enhance professional collaboration, the China Society of Engineers (CSE) and the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) signed here the Mutual Recognition Agreement for Professional Engineers, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.
The signing took place during the Belt and Road Forum on Engineering Capacity Building, a key event of the Second Belt and Road Conference on Science and Technology Exchange.
The agreement establishes a framework for mutual recognition of engineering qualifications between the two countries, aligning with international standards while respecting each nation’s regulatory frameworks.
Both sides reached a consensus on the equivalence of competency assessments, evaluation procedures and quality assurance systems, ensuring that professional engineers from China and Pakistan can benefit from streamlined accreditation processes.
