Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has clearly said that Iran will not stop its nuclear research under any pressure. While speaking in Ilam province, he stated that no foreign power can stop Iran’s scientific progress. He promised that Iran will continue its peaceful nuclear development.
He added that Iran will not wait for Western permission to use nuclear energy in medicine, industry, and farming. According to him, Western countries have no right to demand the end of Iran’s nuclear program. He firmly rejected the idea of rolling it back.
However, Pezeshkian also made one thing clear. He said Iran will never build nuclear weapons. He mentioned that the Supreme Leader has strictly banned nuclear arms. Iran, he added, only wants peaceful use of nuclear technology.
On the same day, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) passed a resolution against Iran. It said Iran has broken nuclear rules. This has added pressure on Iran to explain its program and respond to global concerns.
Talks between Iran and the U.S. are also continuing. They have already met five times since April. Now, both countries are expected to begin a sixth round of nuclear talks this Sunday in Muscat, hoping for a new deal.
