Goldy Brar, the gangster wanted by Interpol, has openly admitted to ordering the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala. In a recent interview with the BBC, Brar said the murder was revenge and expressed no remorse. He described the killing as a necessary action in a fierce gang rivalry. Brar claimed Moose Wala’s actions forced their hand, saying, “It was either him or us.”
Sidhu Moose Wala, the famous Punjabi singer, was shot dead in broad daylight in Punjab in May 2022. Six gunmen attacked his vehicle with rifles, firing 24 bullets. Brar publicly took responsibility for the assassination soon after but did not explain his reasons until now. Along with his associate Lawrence Bishnoi, Brar is believed to have planned the murder.
Brar said the murder was revenge for Vicky Middukhera, a Bishnoi gang member killed in 2021. He accused Moose Wala of using his political influence to protect those involved in Middukhera’s death. “He should have faced punishment, but nobody listened, so we acted ourselves,” Brar told the BBC. Moose Wala denied any involvement.
The feud began after Moose Wala promoted a kabaddi match linked to the rival Bambiha gang. Brar said this angered the Bishnoi gang and worsened tensions. Although there is no proof Moose Wala was involved in gang crimes, Brar insisted he helped their rivals using political power and money.
Brar also revealed that Moose Wala and Bishnoi had contact since 2018. He said the police and journalists knew about Moose Wala’s connections but did nothing. Brar’s interview sheds new light on the brutal gang rivalry behind the murder of the music star.
