Residents protest against planned shifting of BHU

KHYBER AGENCY: Residents of Bacha Mena, an area adjacent to Torkham border, staged a protest demonstration on Friday against the decision to move their locality’s basic health unit (BHU).

Dozens of Bacha Mena residents gathered on the road holding banners inscribed with slogans condemning the authorities for the decision to move the BHU.

The protesters were of the view that the locality’s only health centre, working under the auspices of Pakistan
Red Crescent Society (PRCS) for the last few years, was providing health facilities to over 5000 people.
