KARACHI – The price of gold in Pakistan has seen a sharp increase, with rates climbing by Rs 4,300 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.
Following the rise, the new price of gold per tola now stands at Rs 358,400. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has gone up by Rs 3,687, reaching Rs 307,270.
This local price hike coincides with a significant surge in the global gold market, where prices increased by $43 per ounce, taking the international rate to $3,400 per ounce.
The increase reflects both global trends and local economic conditions, including currency fluctuations and demand shifts. Gold prices in Pakistan often mirror changes in the international market.
This sudden jump is likely to affect both jewelry buyers and investors, as gold remains a popular asset in uncertain financial times.
