Pak volleyball team qualifies for CAVA Nation’s League semis

Pakistan volleyball team has qualified for the semifinals of the CAVA Nation’s League 2025 based on their overall performance in the group stage at Fergana, Uzbekistan.

On Saturday, Pakistan faced Kazakhstan in a closely contested match during the league stage of the tournament. Despite a strong performance, Pakistan lost the match by 3-1, with highly competitive set scores of 31-29, 27-25, 19-25, 25-20, said a press release.

The match remained intense throughout, with Pakistan battling valiantly and showing great skill and resilience. Although they fell short in securing a win today, Pakistan has officially qualified for the semifinals of the League.

Pakistan fought hard in extended first and second sets, narrowly losing both by a few points. The team showed excellent recovery in the third set, winning 25-19. Players demonstrated strong coordination and skill, keeping the match competitive till the final point.

Despite the result, Pakistan has officially secured the top position in their pool and advanced to the crossover matches (semi-final stage) of the tournament. This is a testament to the team’s outstanding overall performance throughout the league stage. Pakistan fought hard in extended first and second sets, narrowly losing both by a few points. The team showed excellent recovery in the third set, winning 25-19. Players demonstrated strong coordination and skill, keeping the match competitive till the final point.

After a rest day on June 1, Pakistan will compete in the crossover matches against the top teams from the other pool including India on June 2 and Iran on June 3.

The Pakistan Volleyball Federation has congratulated the national team for topping their group and qualifying for the crossover stage. The Federation appreciated the players’ hard work, the coaching staff’s efforts, and the continuous support from Pakistani volleyball fans.
