A female police officer from Punjab, Pakistan, has won an international award at the World Police Summit. According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, ASP Anam Sheer Khan received the prestigious award for her outstanding performance in criminal investigations.
The World Police Summit Awards considered the exceptional contributions of police officers from 192 countries across various categories.
The spokesperson mentioned that the World Police Summit is the largest, most effective, and professional organization dedicated to police leadership globally. Each year, police officers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and development in their respective fields are chosen for recognition.
The awards committee, after thorough scrutiny and interviews, shortlisted two officers from Punjab Police for the award. DPO Kasur, Muhammad Isa Khan, was awarded second place for his excellent use of artificial intelligence in policing.
Punjab Police IG Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated ASP Anam Sheer Khan for bringing recognition to Pakistan and Punjab Police on the global stage. He emphasized that the selection of Punjab Police officers for international honors is a matter of pride for the Pakistan Police Service, and officers like ASP Anam Sheer Khan will play a crucial role in future police leadership.
