Provincial Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning Syed Nisar Hussain Shah has stated that the Sindh government has enacted laws requiring all hospitals in the province to respond to and attend to road accident victims. Immediate steps should be taken to save lives and provide first aid to those injured in road accidents. He emphasized that those bringing injured individuals should be treated with respect and not harassed or troubled unnecessarily, and that victims should not be intimidated under any circumstances. He expressed these views today during his address as the guest of honor at the 5th Road Safety Conference, held at a local hotel. Present at the occasion were Karachi Police Traffic Chief Javed Alam Odho, Founder and Chairman of Youth Parliament Rizwan Jaffer, along with other esteemed personalities from the city. Minister Nisar Shah added that to protect lives and property and to reduce road accidents caused by carelessness and speeding, fines have been increased. He added that while the responsibility of law enforcement lies with the public, the government bears the greatest duty to ensure compliance. He also mentioned that the Safe City Project is being modernized with new technology to improve road safety. Additionally, ambulance services provided by 1122 are being enhanced and expanded in scope. Nisar Shah expressed confidence that the outcomes of the Road Safety Conference will be far-reaching, raising awareness among youth and the public alike. The conference officials will present their recommendations, and all feasible measures will be undertaken for the public welfare. He highlighted that the Red Lane Project on University Road is scheduled for rapid completion under the special directives of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, due to these efforts, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon are actively involved. Infrastructure across Karachi and the entire province is being improved. Regarding public health initiatives, he stated that for Eid-ul-Adha, Solid Waste Management has devised an excellent plan, and waste collection is now operational throughout Karachi. Citizens will notice significant and positive changes in cleanliness and sanitation during this Eid, especially regarding sacrificial remains and general cleanliness. To combat corruption, online systems have been established in the Anti-Corruption Establishment to promote transparency. Immediate action will be taken on public complaints. He further announced that, on the special instructions of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, urban forestry has been established in Karachi, including large community forests along Lyari Expressway and Malir Expressway. The Youth Parliament is urged to submit any plans for citywide afforestation; the government will fund these initiatives promptly. In a political context, Nisar Shah stated that the Modi government has launched a war based on false accusations, attempting to harm the country by cutting off water supplies. While French ships once boasted, our armed forces defeated their arrogance. India is attacking our civilian population, but Pakistan’s armed forces are only targeting military installations. He asserted that 240 million people stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and are united against Modi’s government. Every Hindu, Sikh, and Christian residing in Pakistan supports the Pakistan Army.
