ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken notice of news reports in sections of media claiming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan was not allowed to enter the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan, on Sunday. The PPP chairman directed the Sindh government to form a committee to conduct an inquiry and submit the details in a report. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the inquiry is significant although police and local administration had clarified in the media that Imran Khan was denied entry into the shrine because he wanted his private armed guards to accompany him; and his other party leaders were allowed to enter the shrine without their guards. The PPP chairman said the inquiry should be completed at the earliest. He stressed that shrines of Sufi saints are sacred and should not be used for political motives or point-scoring. In other news, an event was organised at Zardari House to observe the 6th death anniversary of Nusrat Bhutto. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also attended the event. Others who attended the event included: PPP Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, PPP Punjab office-bearers Nadeem Afzal Chan & Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, PPP KPK President Humayun Khan, PPP Gilgit-Baltistan President Amjad Hussain, Raja Khurram Pervaiz, Amir Fida Paracha, Syed Ibrar Rizvi, Nargis Faiz Malik, Iftikhar Shahzada, Raja Sajid, Tuadeer Abbasi, Chaudhry Iftikhar, Mohammad Ali Shah, Azhar Khan, Hussain Tariq Raja, Chaudhry Asad Pervaiz, Mazhar Hussain Babar, Raja Umar Sajid, Qamar Shah, Malik Najeeb, Gulzari Begum, Khalid Dar, Zubaida Rao, Surraya Zia and a large number of party workers. Another event to pay tribute to Nusrat Bhutto was held at the party’s central secretariat in Islamabad. The event was attended by: Senator Farhatullah Babar, Malik Hakmeen Khan and other leaders and workers of the party. In Karachi, candles were lit in the memory of Nusrat Bhutto at Bilawal Chowrangi by PPP loyalists.
