Karachi is expected to experience dry weather with cool nights over the next 24 hours, according to the Met Office.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast intermittent strong winds across the city.
The minimum temperature recorded today was 12.4°C, and it is expected to remain around 11°C in the coming hours.
The city’s winds are blowing at a speed of 10 kilometres per hour, with a humidity level of 28%.
Strong winds from Quetta, which began between Thursday and Friday night, have intensified the chill in the city.
The Met Office stated that these winds could cause daytime temperatures to drop further.
The cold winds are coming from northeastern Balochistan, where the wind speeds have reached up to 33 km/h.
Meanwhile, in northern Pakistan, temperatures have dropped significantly.
The lowest temperature in the past 24 hours was recorded in Leh at -13 C, followed by Skardu at -7 C, Kalam at -6 C, and Islamabad at -1 C.
Peshawar, Lahore, and Multan recorded temperatures of 3 C and 7 C, respectively.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, heavy snowfall has covered the mountains, and roads, homes, and trees are all blanketed in snow.
Northern Balochistan is also under a severe cold wave, with temperatures in Quetta falling to -6°C, and -5°C in Kalat and Ziarat.
The PMD has issued a warning that the cold wave will persist in many regions of the country.
The weather is expected to remain cold and dry in Islamabad and surrounding areas.
