Authorities in Liam Payne’s death investigation are laying out his final moments. The One Direction alum died on Oct. 16 at age 31 after falling from a third-story hotel balcony in Argentina. His cause of death was determined to be polytraumatism as well as internal and external hemorrhaging, with toxicology results showing that he had alcohol, cocaine and a prescription antidepressant in his system at the time of his death.

Officials have charged one individual with abandonment of a person followed by death and two others with supply and facilitation of narcotics in connection to Payne’s passing. In court documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors claim Payne-who was open about his struggles with sobriety-spent the morning of his death drinking and seeking drugs. “‘Dude I think I’m going to f–k a hooker,'” they said Payne texted a friend at around 7 a.m. According to prosecutors, Payne then texted the same friend two hours later, “‘Can you get 6 grams?'”

Authorities said the friend arrived to Payne’s hotel to have breakfast together, where the “Teardrops” singer drank whiskey. When Payne returned to his room, he began looking for something a maid described to investigators as “powder,” per the court documents.

Prosecutors said two sex workers arrived at Payne’s hotel around 11:30 a.m. Per the docs, the sex workers told investigators that Payne asked them if they were carrying cocaine because he was out, before becoming enraged when they wanted payment.

At around 2 p.m., authorities said Payne texted a hotel employee, “‘I’m gonna need another 7 grams for today.'” Per court documents, staffers at the hotel told investigators that Payne was “visibly drunk” with dilated pupils by 4 p.m.

Prosecutors have not identified those charged in connection to Payne’s death by name. However, in a Nov. 7 press release, officials described the individuals as a “person who accompanied the artist on a daily basis during his stay,” a hotel employee and a “drug supplier.”

Investigators believe that Payne was not fully conscious when he fatally fell from his hotel balcony. His death has been ruled out as a suicide.

“The victim did not adopt a reflex posture to protect herself from the fall,” the press release read. “For the prosecution, this situation would also rule out the possibility of a conscious or voluntary act on the part of the victim since in the state he was in, he did not know what he was doing nor could he understand it.”
