LAHORE: The Punjab University has decided to get verified the record of candidates – applying for registration with the university – from the National Database and Registration Authority for authentication of credentials regarding identification submitted by the candidates. In this regard, the PU has entered into an agreement with NADRA and a ceremony was held at the committee room of the Vice Chancellor’s Office. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir, NADRA Public Service Directorate’s Director General Fizah Shahid, Verifications Director Qasim Rizvi and Verisys team leader Asad Ali Bhatti were present on the occasion. According to the MoU, the PU would forward the credentials entered by the students to NADRA and the authority would send the verification report in a few days. PU Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that the MoU was part of the administration’s vision to introduce digital reforms in the university and replace the obsolete existing system with the modern one.
