LAHORE: Ecolean, a global producer of lightweight packaging solutions for liquid food, as part of its continuous growth strategy, announced its expansion plans with a new factory in Pakistan, in an event held at the groundbreaking site at Sundar Industrial Area Lahore. The ground breaking was done by the Ambassador of Sweden to Pakistan Ingrid Johansson, and was attended by Ecolean Group CEO Peter L. Nilsson, Ecolean Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd Managing Director Kamran Khan along with his senior management, clients, dignitaries, functionaries, businessmen, and the media. Speaking at the occasion, Johansson said, “Today’s groundbreaking ceremony marks the start of a technologically ground-breaking factory. The establishment of Ecolean in Lahore is another example of Sweden’s interest in Pakistan’s promising business opportunities.” Ecolean had been experiencing continued growth in the Asian markets, in order to meet its growing customer base. The new factory is part of its investment and development plans for Pakistan that will help it timely meet its customers’ demand, it was said. Expressing his joy at the occasion, Ecolean Group CEO Peter L. Nilsson said, “Five years ago, we delivered the first Ecolean packages to Pakistan, one of the most dynamic and interesting markets in the world. During the past five years, we have had the pleasure of cooperating with excellent companies with leading brands in Pakistan and we have been able to develop and grow our business every year.” Managing Director Ecolean Pakistan Kamran Khan stated, “Today’s event is a huge milestone in Ecolean’s development in Pakistan.
