The Punjab government has announced a local public holiday in Lahore on August 26 (Monday) on the eve Hazrat Ganj Bukhsh Haveri’s (Data Sahab) urs. According to a notification issued on Thursday, the public holiday will be observed only in Lahore. All educational institutions, district offices and deputy commissioner office will remain closed on August 26, the notification said.
