Mansehra District Police Officer (DPO) Shafiullah Gandapur has ordered a crackdown on celebratory gunfire during Chand Raat, the night before Eid.

In a high-level meeting held on Tuesday, DPO Gandapur directed police officers to take decisive action against those who violate the ban on aerial firing. His plan involves deploying personnel on the rooftops of high-rise buildings to monitor for celebratory gunfire. Upon witnessing such incidents, the officers will report to the nearest police station for immediate intervention.

Raids will be conducted at the identified locations to apprehend the shooters and seize any weapons used. DPO Gandapur emphasized that legal action will be pursued against those caught violating the ban. This initiative by the Mansehra police aims to ensure a safe and peaceful Eid celebration for all residents of the district.
