LAHORE: The review petition filed by Sharif family to challenge the July 28 verdict of Panama Papers case will be heard by the Supreme Court (SC) on September 12. The three-member bench of the apex court that will hear the petition will be headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal and Justice Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan will be alongside him. Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was disqualified by the SC in July 28 verdict for being ‘dishonest’, already filed four review petitions in August in which he contended that the judgement was unfair. Sharif asserted in the petitions that non-declaration of a company that he did not withdraw salary from could not be made basis for his disqualification and asked the SC to revoke the verdict.
