ISLAMABAD: The Special Court of Narcotics Substance Control on Wednesday ordered to freeze the bank accounts of the son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ali Musa Gilani and former federal minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin in ephedrine quota case. The court issued order for freezing the accounts on the request of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in the ephedrine quota case. Commenting on the freezing of his accounts Ali Musa Gilani said that there is mere balance of Rs 100,000 in his account. Meanwhile, Gilani has filed an application seeking acquittal in the said case while Shahabuddin has acquired the services of Naeem Bukhari as a lawyer. Directing the ANF to submit the inter-department report about the case on next hearing the court adjourned the hearing of the case till September 28. Published in Daily Times, September 14th 2017.
