Sir: I would like to draw the attention of Chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) towards a pivotal and worth-considering matter, i.e. the expected establishment of Gilgit-Baltistan Public Service Commission (GB-PSC), which was proclaimed in Gilgit Baltistan Empowerment and Self-Rule Order 2009. Although the formulation of GB-PSC is apparently creditable, due to the worst administrative system I deem it wise to oppose this step. It is a matter of concern that nepotism, favouritism, bribery, meddling in fair selection, exchange of special references and allegiances towards big wigs is in full swing in these vacancies, which are advertised under the auspices of the GB government. Keeping in view the aforesaid bitter fact, it is unwise to establish a separate PSC; rather the posts of grade 16 and above should be recruited under the FPSC, so that the selection may be on merit and competent people would not be divested of their due right.
