Sir: Sindh has remained to date deprived of a good and smooth road network. I am sure that roads and highways in other third world countries would be a hundred times better than the roads in the upper and lower Sindh districts. These dusty roads pose safety hazards to motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and livestock. Since there are no proper parks and playgrounds in almost the entire province, streets ultimately become the only playground for children, exposing them to a hazardous environment. I request the president of Pakistan to direct the concerned provincial departments for the speedy completion of road construction in Sindh. The provincial government could benefit from the expertise of engineers of the Mehran University, especially with reference to their research of international standards, to minimise dust pollution.
