Sir: Cheating in board examinations is a very common malaise in Pakistan. No strict action is taken against this harmful practice. Some invigilators, especially in government schools, encourage students to cheat. Students bring their books and other cheating material in the examination halls blatantly. There is no one to check them. Invigilators have a very laidback attitude towards this. They let students cheat openly and ask them to hide their cheating material if anyone from the board department comes around. The government should look into this matter and solve this issue immediately because it is unfair to the rest of the students who do not adopt dishonest ways to take their examinations.
