Sir: Thousands of students of Karachi University (KU) face immense problems in reaching the campus due to shortage of university buses. The bus is usually tilted to one side by the sheer weight of the passengers. Presently, there are just 27 buses to cater to the needs of some 28,000 students and teachers. Students due to lack of their own conveyance are forced to travel on these buses, risking their security and health. The University Transport Committee and the Sindh government should provide more buses to the university as there is an urgent need for it. TANYA MANSOOR Karachi
