Sir: A week ago, a huge wall of snow crashed into the remote Siachen Glacier. Rescuers began excavating a new site in search of 138 people buried alive in the area. After eight days, the search is still on. What has the Siachen Glacier, the highest battleground on Earth, given both India and Pakistan? The conflict, which started in 1984, has given both countries mere deaths of our brave soldiers and hundreds of grieved families. I suggest that Pakistan and India should sign an accord and pull out their troops from this dangerous battlefield. Through an accord, the two nations can save many a life.ALEENA HUSSAINKarachi
