Sir: It was very tragic to see a plane crashing with many families on board, including infants, children, senior citizens, and even a newly married couple. According to the news channels, the main reason was that the airplane was landing in a thunderstorm at the Islamabad airport, resulting in the killing of all 127 people on board, and reviving concerns about aviation safety in the country. The most disturbing aspect is what compelled the authorities to allow a flight to land in such bad weather. I request the concerned authorities to incorporate steps in the aviation system that would ensure such deadly mistakes do not occur again. MIR MERAJ Turbat
