Sir: This is in continuation of several complaints and subsequent reminders to the authorities in the Karachi Water and Sewage Board about the drainage system of Allama Shibli Nomani Road, Bath Island, Clifton, Karachi, which is completely choked. Due to this, foul-smelling sewerage water is gushing out on roads and streets, causing severe inconvenience to the residents of the area and making their lives miserable. This supposedly posh area of Clifton — the most neglected one of the metropolis probably — has begun to look very shabby. The KWSB authorities are once again requested to kindly visit the area and solve this chronic public issue on an urgent basis. ABDUL AZIZ KHATRI Karachi
