Sir: The first act of Mohamed Morsi as the president-elect of Egypt was to resign his membership of the Muslim Brotherhood, his mother party. Furthermore, he decided to select his vice presidents from among other groups including the Egypt Coptic Christians. All these moves are essential if a government representing all segments of society is to be formed. On the contrary, no Pakistani leader has ever taken a practical step like Morsi’s to strengthen national cohesion. GULKHAIZ HASSAN Rawalpindi
