Sir: Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s decision at the time of voting for electing the new prime minister in the national assembly was immature. To devalue the power of a vote is a shameful act. It touches the bottom of moral responsibilities — when you have the power to vote and you just surrender saying that you would rather remain unbiased. By doing so, one is being frivolous about a serious matter. For Maulana Fazlur Rehman, there was no need to submit his documents for the post of prime minister. I urge the entire nation to think before voting in the upcoming elections to change the destiny of our country. ZEESHAN SHAMIM Mirpur
