Sir: The recently released Indian spy from a Pakistani jail is on his way to file a lawsuit against his spymasters who have refused to own him now that he has served a life sentence in jail spying in Pakistan for India. Looking in parallel into the two cases of Dr Afridi and Surjeet Singh, spy agencies come out cold, inhumane and insensitive. At least they should honour the people who work for them. In this case, the US is somewhat reliable; at least it has not denied recognition to Dr Shakil Afridi. Surjeet Singh is doing the right thing to fight for his identity, which he lost 27 years back when he was imprisoned in Pakistan. TABASSUM MALIK Lahore
