Sir: One kind deed for the poor is rewarded by Allah tenfold. About two months back, we had donated a sewing machine to a poor girl at Razabad, near Raiwind Road, Lahore, and circulated this information through e-mails. Bahria Town is a business organisation based in Lahore. In response to our email, it has very kindly donated 10 sewing machines at our Karachi office for distribution to deserving poor women. Because of this kind gesture our commitment has seen fruition. Our organisation Children Health and Education Foundation (CHAEF) has selected 10 widows from different villages of Balochistan and handed those over to the most deserving ones. The two CHAEF mobile medical vans overseen by doctors serve more than 100 villages of the area. They provide free consultation, treatment and medicines by setting up a temporary clinic in the van at the junction of five villages. Our gratitude to Bahria Town organisation for coming forward with more donations to serve poor humanity all over Pakistan, especially in Balochistan and rural Sindh.
