Sir: Karachi is the backbone of Pakistan in many aspects — economically, geographically, progressively and industrially. Unfortunately, nowadays, the situation in Karachi is enough to make everybody weary. The uncertain law and order situation and the coming elections have puzzled the mindset of every citizen in Karachi as he/she thinks about what will happen on election day and before that during the election campaigns. In Karachi, the recent law and order situation does not suit any voter or common citizen; he/she wants a peaceful and conducive environment in Karachi. Otherwise, he/she will not participate in the elections and will not use his/her main power, which is the vote, for any representative. There is a horrible law and order situation that has been created with Karachi’s citizens facing many security risks. It is a big challenge for the state to facilitate the people in these elections by providing them with a peaceful environment so that they can select their best political leader; this opportunity comes once in five years.
