Sir: There are only a couple of days remaining for the elections of 2013. It is in the interest of the public that they take part in them to bring change to Pakistan. Most of the public, especially from rural areas, is unaware of the fact that it has the tools in its own hands to bring change through the power of its votes. The people are advised that they use this power and make other people aware that this time leaders should be elected for the sake of the country only. We should avoid voting for the politicians who rule on the basis of feudalism. Our vote should be for the persons who want to develop the country, those who are in favour of removing social evils from society and for those whose first priority is giving quality education and making it equal for the children of the rich and poor. It is a well known fact that education has been neglected in our country. If political parties do not give more attention to educating the nation then there is no need to vote in favour of the candidates of such parties. Education is definitely important as it will play a vital role in eliminating unemployment, corruption, terrorism and other problems by which chaos is created in society. It is requested of the public to kindly elect their leaders wisely and, to the leaders, it is requested that they please promote good education and help Pakistan to grow. YUSRA TAUQIR Karachi
