Sir: It was disappointing to see the whole nation waking up to cast its votes only to be disappointed in the end. There was so much enthusiasm in the people but most areas in Karachi just turned out to be hopeless for all the eager people. MQM supporters were coordinating with the election commission officers, sharing biryani and cold drinks, and when someone went to cast their vote in the polling booth they forced them to stamp on the kite. This is totally unfair and saddening to see how things turned out especially in NA-252 . It is indeed sad that the nation has woken up but our so-called election commission officers are sleeping. They joined hands with the ‘na maloom afraad’s’ (unknown people) party; for what price we may never know. This has cost our country a lot, a loss that will be suffered by Karachi and all of Pakistan.
